Erasing Macintosh HD seems to be stuck

Yesterday, my Mac failed to boot up, and the only thing showing up on the screen was a flashing folder with a questionmark. I resett the SMC and PRAM, and booted in recovery mode to try and run First Aid on the disk, that did not work. So I ended up with trying to erase the disk, which is now stuck, or just taking forever. It’s been runing for almost 20 hours now, and the progress bar shows no progress.

It has gone through the following steps:

Preparing to erase APFS Volume content

Checking mount state

Erasing APFS Volume disk2s1 by deleting and re-adding

Deleting APFS Volume form APFS Container

Unmounting disk2s1

Deleting Volume

This is a mid-2017 retina MacBook pro, 256gb non-touchbar

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.14
