mac numbers spreadsheet disappeared

The file dissapeard from iCloud and computer, i checked also iCloud.com - recents, recently deleted , nowhere !

I worked on this file almost 3 weeks !

I ca still see it in docs when I click on numbers , but i cannot open it.

Even if it would be deleted , it should appear in in recently deleted, but it just disappeared.

Numbers opening or downloading ? I am puzzled why, when I open a Numbers spreadsheet on my Mac which looks to be stored on the HDD, I get the initial message that it is 'downloading'. I am not aware of having these spreadsheets in the iCloud so to me the message should read 'opening' and not 'downloading'. Can anyone shed any light please ?

Finder doesn't show a numbers file Julie from Rochester asked this question almost a decade ago and no one answered it. I'm on MacOS Monterey Version 12.2.1 steps - create a document in Numbers, save it with a file name to a specific folder optionally add some information to the document and save again close the document in Finder, navigate back to the folder where you saved the document, it does not appear- other documents do appear open Numbers, and you can find the file in the folder (for example by navigating to it or use find recent in numbers) My Mac is already set to display invisible files. I did try command shift period anyway but it isn't a hidden file. The file name is <filename>.numbers. From the Numbers search , I find the file and click to show in Finder. The file shows in the location where I saved it. I closed all my finder windows and opened them again but it still doesn't show. I believe this issue has always existed with Numbers documents. I always have to open them from Numbers and I don't think they show in Finder.

Numbers will not open a Numbers file on Google Drive Numbers will not open a Numbers file on Google Drive. I last save it 8th June. What could have happened and what can I do?

Have you gone to Time Machine (or whatever other backup system you are using) and tried to "restore" the file?
