verification code

I'm trying to add family members to my Apple Music from my mobile device (using a Huawei - lost my iPhone some time ago which was my trusted device, although I still have the same phone number - the SIM card is currently in a Nokia, it's a very long story!). My Huawei is asking me to input a verification code which it's saying was sent to my trusted device or phone number but I've tried this numerous times and have never received a verification code on the Nokia on which my trusted phone number works (it has received other texts in that time).

Just wondering if anyone could provide any assistance? Cheers!
