MacBook restarts instead of shutting down
Whenever I try to shut down my mac, it restarts shortly after, causing it to heat up and drain the battery. This problem has started occurring again after I took my laptop into the Apple Store a few months ago, when the issue suddenly disappeared.
I've tried many things, including:
-Resetting SMC
-Resetting NVRAM
-Reinstalling MacOS (yep...)
-Editing energy saver settings
-Turning off bluetooth
-Force quitting all apps
-Totalling draining battery and repowering mac
This is just a short list of the ways I've tried to tackle this issue - it's beginning to make me think that it's actually a hardware issue, which is something that I do not want to mess around with.
If anyone has any other possible solutions to try, I'd appreciate anything. I'll try and respond to any messages and would be happy to give out anymore relevant information.
Thanks.
