Ripoff ! Spotify charged twice by Apple store for years !!!

So I’ve been using Spotify premium for years now and what I discovered recently is that both Apple and Spotify have been charging me for the service. So you get billed twice the amount for the exact same service. This will happen anytime there is a billing issue or if you change your credit card. To make it clear I only have one account and this is a technical issue between the 2 companies.

Because the bill shows-up as an apple store bill with no additional details, you don’t really pay attention and if you call either companies they will tell you that there is no problem with the billing.

In the end Apple may or may not refund you up to 3-4 months of charges and that would hardly cover a fraction of the cost specially if this has been going on for years.

And who is making money out of it? Apple or Spotify, your guess is as good as mine.

How can I get a full refund ?

iPhone 6, iOS 11

Most companies will not refund you for something that goes back for years that you never reported to them. You have a certain amount of responsibility to review your credit card bill and make sure the charges are correct.

So considering the huge number of people who got scammed in this way it seems likely that there will be yet another lawsuit against apple.

Why are you assuming a "huge number" got scammed? I see no evidence of that. I see you describing a weird situation where you probably signed up for accounts both places and, either they got merged or you really do have two accounts. I see you describing a failure to monitor your credit card bill for fraudulent or incorrect charges for more than a year.

Furthermore how do you explain then that when you call (several times) the apple support requestiing them to check for an issue with the billing they always say that there is no issue at all and that it all looks normal ?

Apple can't see your credit card bill. They can't see you're being charged by both them and Spotify. All they can see is that you have a subscription for Spotify through iTunes.

I suggest that you cancel both accounts and start over. I also suggest you review your credit card statements for as far back a you can to see what else may have happened. But, be warned that your credit card company probably won't pursue any disputes older than a year.
