Software Update problem with iTunes

I updated to the latest MacOS today on my Powerbook Pro mid 2012. I tried burning a CD in iTunes and was given the message "disk burner or software not found" and I couldn't burn the disk. Does anyone know why this has happened and how to get around it?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, Pererin.

If I understand your post correctly, you are trying burn a CD in iTunes on your Mac and you're getting an error message that the disk burner or software is not found. I’d like to help.

Follow the steps in this article:

If you have trouble burning discs on Mac

If you're still seeing the error, try quitting iTunes and restarting your Mac.
