Apple Music

Apple Music sends the clean version of songs to my iPhone X and I have the explicit version on my MacBook in iTunes. I do not have restrictions turned on.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that clean versions of Apple Music songs download on your iPhone X and explicit versions download on your MacBook. You've come to the right place! The following steps can help:


  1. In iTunes on a Mac or PC, find the explicit songs. Delete the songs from your computer and iCloud Music Library.
  2. Re-import the songs from the original source at a high quality.
  3. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or at the top of the iTunes window, choose File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library.
