Individual joining Family music streaming subscription

For several years i have subscribed to an individual Apple music subscription. If i join a family plan :

1) Do lose all my current saved music or settings? and

2) Will i have a way to keep my music and preferences separate from other family members?

Apple Music individual plan to family plan. So I have a individual plan on Apple Music. I want to switch to a family plan so my family can have Apple Music without me having to get them a individual account. If I switch to a family plan will I still have my playlist?
