Adding a new CC when current is cancelled

My credit card was recently cancelled due to fraud, when I try to add a new card I receive a message that the account needs to be verified, I input the verification code for the cancelled card and receive a message that charges pending and the card is declined. It's like an evil circle, I can't add a card without verifying the existing and the existing is cancelled and will not allow me to add a new card or edit the existing. Please get me off this merry-go-round.

Try removing the old card via https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage

If that also doesn't work contact iTunes Support and see if they can help you do it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww (click on your country's flag, the country where you live, and which is therefore the country on the account ; click on Contact Support towards the top right ; click on Get Help under 'Talk To Us’)
