Future of itunes sync and backup of devices in Windows

Hi folks,

Forever I have used iTunes in Windows to send photos I have taken elsewhere, music i have recorded, pdfs I wish to carry with me and sync my Outlook contacts with my iPhone and iPad. I hear iTunes is ending. What does this mean for me?

Can I still use iTunes for the above purposes? If not, what will replace it?

I'm a bit confused about the future and will appreciate your insights.

Thanks.

Here is just one article that suggests that, at least for now, things aren't changing in Windows:
