Administrator is managed by Parental Controls

A couple of forum members suggested I look at Parental Controls for possibly why my widgets aren't working. I opened the pane and checked the box to see what options might be next.

Now my Administrator Account is "Managed" and I can't get Parental Controls turned off because my administrator name and password won't let me in. And a bazillion Parental Controls access permission windows are popping up whenever I am anywhere near the internet. Like now...

No one else ever uses my computer. I am the administrator and have a test user account and guest user account. I don't want or need Parental Controls turned on, but I do need my computer access back.

Any ideas? Terminal? btw already tried changing password. Doesn't matter.

And thx Eric Root. Speaking of roots... The "test account" I had created years ago, I had since lost place of the password for.

Since I no longer had access to any admin account, it became a root issue. My El Capitan OS wouldn't let me in to read/write terminal controls from safe mode as a single user and Recovery mode kept hanging. I was forced to do the whole thing through StartUp mode, then Safe with some other dinking. Was ultimately able to set up a new admin, (for which I will safeguard the id and password) and go into the old home account to uncheck the Parental Controls on it. Home account now accessible.

I couldn't access anything other than Apple Forums via Firefox (Parental Controls), so I tried Tor browser and I could get through to the internet with no fuss. Thanks to general forums outside of Apple, after two days I found info on how to do this. I finally re-enabled System Integrity.

All set, and am proud to say, I managed to get the job done. Even though I have years of experience with Mac, it wasn't a job for the faint-hearted. THANKS TO ALL FORUMS!
