Ever since I migrated to a new phone (from an iphone 7 to XR), my apple watch does not sync my activities to the new device. The devices are paired and I get notifications and updates for all apps except for activities.
When I open the activities app on my phone, it tells me to open the app on my watch, see screenshot.

On your Watch, swipe over to the left. Does that have any set up steps for you? Currently in the picture you’ve show, the Watch is prompting you to set up Activity Sharing, not the Activity app itself.

I just had to update the move goal in the apple watch app and the iphone app started working. Looks like a bug in the iOS app.
Nope there are no set up steps. the other screen shows the activity rings and stats.
