vinyl records to mac by bluetooth or wifi ?

Hi. I want to record/transfer my old vinyl records to my Mac. My analog stereo and turntable are 30 feet from my computer. Is there a way to bluetooth or wifi from my turntable to the Mac. With AirPort I can stream from my Mac to the stereo; it seems I should be able to stream from the stereo to the Mac and capture it as a music file.

I see info how to do this with cables. (e.g. RCA to USB) I see some devices that seem to allow streaming from a stereo via an output jack to blue tooth devices. And I see an app called Audio HiJack that apparently can capture any sound within the computer. But I don't see any articles or youtubes about how to do what I want to do - stream from stereo to Mac and record it (e.g. with Garage Band or Audacity).

Any ideas?

Thanks

It's easy and inexpensive to get a bluetooth device for your stereo that outputs bluetooth audio (e.g. https://amzn.to/2ZcZCkN) but the challenge is getting your Mac to essentially be a bluetooth speaker for bluetooth audio. But as the slogan goes, there's an app for that!

http://www.pixelegg.me/julius. It has a free trial so you can test it out.

I'm not sure if that program has any built-in audio recording, however once the audio is playing on your Mac you absolutely could use Soundflower (https://github.com/mattingalls/Soundflower) + the Audio MIDI Setup app to make a new Multi-Output Device to combine the Soundflower output w/ the built-in output (i.e. your Mac's speaker) to both listen to the audio while simultaneously having a dedicated device you can record from.

(Soundflower is my single-most favorite app for the Mac, btw)

My only concern would be the quality of the bluetooth audio recording, and honestly you can get a 30+ foot 1/8-inch speaker line or 30+ foot RCA cables for probably $15. So the way I describe above is way cooler and more fun, but you'd probably be better off with the $15 cable. :)

Either way, let me know if this sounds like a good solution my friend!
