iMovie imported project clips not showing in browser

Hi,

I've sent an imovie project to final cut x (trial version at the moment as testing before purchase) but although everything appears in the timeline I can't see any clips in the browser, just one icon representing the project.

I can right click individual clips in the timeline and select "show in browser" which reveals just that clip nested under a date heading but I can't find a way to show them all.

Ultimately I want to be able to analise them all for people as well as colour balance which I understand needs them to be selectable in the browser?

I tested this and indeed only the project appears at first.

Selecting each clip in the timeline in turn and pressing Shift-F does make them all appear. A workaround that should not be necessary, but at least that is only necessary once.

And if you don't want to see them by date, go to View->Browser->Group Clips By... and choose None.

Thanks for such a fast reply. I ended up with clips but no project just now but I understand what I did wrong:

To summarise the "File -> Send to Final Cut Pro" option changes depending on where you click within iMovie! If you have the timeline area selected it will say "Send Movie to Final Cut Pro" and only send the project with no clips showing in the browser but if you select the Project clapper icon on the left under "Project Media" the option will change to "Send EVENT to Final Cut Pro" which sent everything.

That’s the correct behavior if you send a project. You can also send an event from iMovie which will put the clips in the browser.
