Song info

Will I be able to edit Song Info in the new apple music? Very important to me as I am a songwriter and I have used iTunes for years to catalog my songs and enter metadata.

The applications that will replace iTunes, are announced for the upcoming new version 10.15 of macOS. As far as we know at this time, iTunes stays as it is on other/older versions macOS (or even Windows).

The idea is to split the functionality logically into separate apps (Music, TV, Podcasts, Syncing), instead of one ‘do-everything’ app.

Thank you. I certainly hope so as I’d hate to see 20 years of work go down the drain. I only heard yesterday that iTunes is going away. I wish Apple had given me warning so I could find an alternative song storage software. Catalina, eh? That’s the first I’ve heard of a new OS too.

We will know when macOS Catalina is released to the public, but I expect that such important functionality will stay available.

Thank you. I certainly hope I can retain all my metadata and be able to enter new metadata as I have relied on iTunes to organize my songs for years. And my co-writers do too.
