Iphone approval

I recently went through my settings as i kept getting an approval message request being sent out, After i turned on two factor authentication my phone has constantly been requesting to "approve this iphone" i logged into icloud to approve from another device but im unsure how this is done. Has anyone had this issue before?

Can't Approve iPhone When trying to go through the process of approving my iPhone 8, I don't receive an authentication code and therefore "waiting for approval" goes around and around. What happens if I choose "Reset Encrypted Data"? I have tried to turn off two factor authentication via applied.apple.com web browser but there is no option under the security setting to do so. Without doing this, I continue to get a notification "Update Apple ID Settings - some account services will not be available until you sign in again".... how do I get rid of this notification?
