I cannot join Family Sharing

I have an apple ID that goes WAAAAAY back -- I have a bunch of music and movies on it that I'd like to share with my wife. Sadly, when I tried to use it to create a Family Sharing account, it wouldn't let me.


I used another iCloud account to create a Family Sharing Account, and was able to create it with no trouble. I was also able to add my wife to it. However, when I tried to link up my original AppleID (the one with all my purchases on it) it wouldn't let me.


I've tried literally everything. I've looked at all the workaround and message boards, and nothing works. I'm really peeved, and would love to get this working. Whenever I send an invitation to my iTunes account and try to accept it, I get this message:

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read.
