iPad 2 is on wifi but internet won't load

Hmm, I did that but beyond find my ipad, where would I go to remove the ipad from the icloud account?

Under My Devices it doesn't show the iPad 2, perhaps because it hasn't been online in so long?

How can I get the iPad 2 to actually connect on the wifi it's already on? Perhaps there's a firewall or something the ipad has turned on?

Yes I am the original owner. My son logged in and I can't get him & his info logged out.

What would make this not connect to the wifi, even though it shows it's connected to the wifi?

I'm just trying to receive the disable signal for Find my iPad so I can fully wipe this and throw it out.

I've tried that, because it hasn't been online in forever & still has Find my ipad enabled, it won't delete it from the list of devices.

What other options are there?

Should I just take it to apple as is and tell them to recycle it? Will they actually wipe the data off first? That's my main concern.
