So, as of yesterday, the iTunes store is no longer available. I like to listen to music samples and selectively purchase them. It appears that in Apple Music (Browse) this is no longer possible. It's either pay up or stay out, the three-months free trial apart. Am I right or is there a way to sample and purchase select pieces of music in Apple Music without subscribing to the plan?

The "Browse" and "For You" sections in iTunes on a computer, and in the Music App on iOS devices is the way to access the Apple Music subscription service so of course they require an active subscription to access any content there.
The Store section in iTunes on a computer is still alive and well, as is the iTunes Store App on iOS devices.
