Itunes freezes

Ever since I updated to the latest Mojave 10.14.5 for my MacBook Air my iTunes keeps freezing . I have to force close . Then that doesn't work so I have to force shut down. Could someone help me please? Thank you!

Try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down option+cmd as you launch) or your Mac in safe mode (see Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support). Sometimes one of these actions may clear up niggling issues with iTunes.
