I have an iPhone 6. When connected to the Bluetooth hands free calling system of my vehicle it reads incoming messages through the vehicle’s audio system. However I can not reply to the messages through the Bluetooth connectivity. Is there a fix for this problem.

Not all vehicle systems support doing that. While you should be able to do it on all vehicles that support CarPlay, not all of the vehicles will support you dictating a text response. I suggest you check your owner's manual, or check with your dealer to see if their system supports dictating a text response.
