trouble updating payment info

I lost my credit/debit card. I need to make a payment. When I follow the directions to update my payment info it will not let me do so unless I give the CVV of the lost card. I don't have it so it's impossible to give my payment, which is attached to the same account. Why is this so difficult?

I had same issue with my account, you will have to contact iTunes support. visit https://getsupport.apple.com then click on see all products and services > choose billing and subscriptions > Subscriptions and purchase
