how to add a phone number to your apple ID

I'm trying to link up my phone with my computer so I can text and use FaceTime, but when I log into my Apple ID it only comes up with my email as an option to receive/send texts and calls from. How do I connect my phone number?

How do I set up messages on my iPad to receive text messages from my phone number? I am trying to send and receive messages on my iPad using my phone number. My phone and iPad are both logged in with the same Apple ID, but under send and receive messages on my iPad it doesn’t offer my phone number as an option to send and receive messages. I just used my new product session to find out why, we thought we had the problem fixed, but the phone number doesn’t show up. Help

Receiving and sending messages from my phone number on my mac. All Youtube videos I've seen tell me that I go to preferences and select my phone number as one option I can be reached at, but it is not available to me and I'm not sure why. I am signed into my Apple ID and everything but my phone messages and mac messages are still completely separate.

Add the number below. Then sign out of Messages/FaceTime and back in. There may be a delay before the phone number shows up, so you may have to sign out/in later.
