quicktime new screen recording greyed out
hi does anyone know why the "quicktime" "new screen recording " in file/ "new screen recording "is greyed out

Hello Novice2011,
I see from your post that the New Screen Recording selection in QuickTime Player is grayed out. This will happen if you already have already selected the option, and either it's recording already, or the recording options are open. First, please quit QuickTime Player: Quit apps on Mac. Once that's done, restart your Mac: Log out, sleep, restart, and shut down Mac and then try the screen recording option again.
