MacBook Pro internet connection issues

I updated firmware to my AirPort Extreme and started having trouble with the mail ap on my MacBook Pro. Error messages saying can’t connect. Now having trouble with general internet even though I seem to be connected. No problems with other devices. Any ideas?

MacBook Pro 15", macOS 10.14

Try a power cycle of the entire network. That would mean.......

Powering off all devices on the network......modem. router, computers, phones, printer, etc......in any order that you want

Wait a few minutes

Power up the modem and let it run for a few minutes by itself

Power up the next device....likely your AirPort Extreme....and let it run for a full minute

Keep powering up devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up

Check the network
