Forced use of 64-bit applications
Anyone understand why we will not be able to run 32-bit software under future versions of the OS? I mean, I know 64-bit software is superior, but what if a 64-bit version of something we rely on heavily does not exist and will never exist? Specifically, perhaps my most valuable application is Quicken 2007 for Mac. It has been supplanted by later versions that simply do not meet my needs, which Q2007 does admirably. I have to choose between staying with an ever more obsolete version of the OS and giving up access to my most important data--data going back nearly 30 years. How on earth does that benefit anyone?
