Unable to re-download previous album purchases...

When I go to re-download previous album purchases that are missing from my itunes library I do not see the 'cloud' icon in the upper right corner. I see the purchases in my history, but I am unable to download the purchased item.


In itunes:

I click 'account', 'purchased', 'all'.

All the albums i have purchased show up on the right side of the window.

I am able to select each of the albums I need to re-download.

I have no 'cloud' icon in the 'upper right' corner of each album that would allow for downloading.

If I select by song, I don't get a 'cloud' download icon there either.


None of these are 'hidden'


Did I miss the memo about not being allowed to re-download after initial purchase?

Cool story...


so I just found out that if you double click on the song in iTunes it says "I can't find it do you want to locate?" if you select cancel it starts playing, even though it shows as not found and the album artwork is gone. But... then you get a 'cloud' download button on each song so then you can go back and click on each song to download them individually. When you do, the album artwork updates as well.


Neat feature, Apple. Keep up the great work... So itunes knew how to get the missing songs/albums all along it just wanted to make me pay a bit for each song via time invested jumping through some click hoops and stumbling upon a "fix". I am impressed.
