Is it my apple account being funny or my phone?
I try to download any apps and it takes me to verify my card details I have one on there and is saying it is not vaild. Although it won’t allow me to change the details on it or remove the card to try and re add it. Has this happened before to anyone?
A card no longer being accepted by iTunes isn't uncommon, validation rules change over time.
In terms of not being able to remove the card people have posted the same thing. Try adding the new card and removing the old one via https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
If that also doesn't work contact iTunes Support and see if they can help you do it : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww (click on your country's flag, the country where you live, and which is therefore the country on the account ; click on Contact Support towards the top right ; click on Get Help under 'Talk To Us’)
