Spotlight file locations

I'd like to be able to see the location of an item returned in the search result. I know I can click command to get it to "show" at the bottom of the window, but the window is not wide enough, and for some reason it can't be resized. The only way to do it seems to be to open Finder to view the results, but I then have to search through a much larger number of results to find the one I was looking for. Yes, you can add filters, but again that's more to do. The ability to use "Get Info" via ctrl-click, or perhaps just with hover might help. Is there any other way?
