My adapter is only pumping audio to one ear of my headphones. My headphones work perfectly fine in any other audio jack besides my phone now. I have an iphone 8 and Creative Aurvana Live headphones and a normal 3.5mm audio jack adapter

I did wiggle the adapter and got several seconds of audio again before it went out.
Is a short 'fixable'? Will i need to purchase a new one?

Make sure the headphones are fully seated in the adapter and into the phone.
Check under accessibility to make sure you don’t have mono audio turned on or sound set to go to one ear.
Wiggle the adapter, if you momentarily get sound in both ears, the adapter has a short.
