IOS Appletv remote app

I have two Apple TV's one labeled bedroom and the other living room. Both on the same wifi network. I have the latest ios ver for both devices. The Living room Apple tv doesn't show up consistently as a device I can control with my iphone ios remote app. I restart both phone and Apple tv and still nothing. The Living Room Apple TV is the 4k version? Why can't I see tand choose the Living room Apple tv?

Is it possible your network is not up-to the task of supporting many wi-fi devices? Have you done any basic networking troubleshooting such as restarting the router or resetting the router or checking to see that it has the most up-to-date firmware? Most people thing if some devices work okay then their network connection is okay, that is incorrect though. Please begin by troubleshooting your network.

You may be a candidate for a better router. Recently I also had problems with my connection at my home, the router was on one end of the house and the TV was on the other end and the Wi-Fi signal was weak where the TV was. I ended up upgrading to a Mesh network, that is something you may be a candidate for and may want to look into. I ended up installing the Google Mesh network and I've had zero problems since doing that.
