Find Friends sharing Apple Watch (cellular + gps) location

I get that I can only share location for one device but I'd like that device to be the watch. Is that possible?

Why is "Find My" App Apple Watch location priority over iPhone location sharing My wife and I both use our iPhone as our primary device. We want to share our location using the iPhone only and not our Watches. The problem is we have watches with Cellular+GPS and apparently they link directly to the phone. Meaning that when we use "Find my" app, it shows our watch location and not our iPhone location. If I turn off the "Share my location" on my watch it automatically turns it off for my iPhone too. This is frustrating and the two devices should be separate. If i turn my watch off, then the "Find My" app show my correct iPhone location. If you go to the "Find My" app > Me > My Location ... it states "This device and cellular Apple Watches." How can we get "Find My" to show our iPhone location only? We don't want to know our watch location, but for some reason the watch is priority and we don't use our watches regularly.

location sharing One of the people in my network has share my location turned off for their iPhone and Apple Watch but I can still see their location in the Find My app periodically. Sometimes it says “no location found” and then after a period it will locate them and it can go back and fourth like this. Sometimes it even shows a live location and the last time it did this it was stationary for 5-10 minutes when I know that they were moving around a lot. When I look at their individual devices both the phone and watch say “not sharing location”. I would think that having the share my location option turned off that I would not be able to see this person. Any insight will be appreciated

How to share location just with iPhone If I’m not wearing Apple Watch. Location is still sharing Apple Watch and not iPhone. How do I only share location with iPhone and not Apple Watch.

As far as I could tell, everything was set up before I sent this message. I don't know if something changed or not but I did open 'Find My Friends' on the watch and now my iPhone profile in "Find My Friends" says that it's for both the phone and the associated cellular watch. I don't believe it said that before but I don't have a record to prove otherwise. Thanks for your help! - Chuck
