office pack version - difficulty to update because of my OS X version

Hello,

I have a old version of "Windows Office" when i bought this MacBook Pro. Recently my wife extended her subscription to "Windows Office" from "individual mode" to "familiy mode" in order to let me take the benefit to update my Windows pack but it doesn't work as my MacBookPro is an OS X 10.9.5 version and the office new products are 10.10 version or more. I asked the support of Windows experts who told me that i need to check this with you. May you help me ?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and depending on which Mac model you have, download El Capitan, High Sierra, or Mojave from the Mac App Store.
