Apple watch screen develops a weird smudge in the middle

Hi, I’ve seen this issue addressed by one other user but I didn’t find any useful replies.

My apple watch screen develops this weird smudge in the middle when I use my fingers on it. The stain can be cleaned off but with more effort than the rest of the smudges. It’s almost like the middle of the screen is worn in but I have had this watch for less than 4 months and it hasn’t been used before me.

Usually this stain gets significantly visible and annoying.
