Apple watch ultra's bezel paint falling off

Got the watch this week and noticed a fainted line on the tapered down bezel. Hence, I used a microfibre cloth (for eyewear) to wipe and discover that it will leave a faint line on it.

I realised that this is a layer being glued or taped on top of the titanium case, just wondering if this layer is being scratch off is it going to be affection the watch?

Hmmm...time will tell, at least now I am aware the GPS band is soft and not made of titanium. Sleeping on it for now...might consider return it if it bothers me for another day.

It's your imagination. There is no painted surface on the Apple Watch Ultra. NONE. ZIP. Your watch is exactly as it's supposed to look. You CANNOT wipe any of the finish of the watch off. Titanium is extremely hard. It's VERY difficult to even buff Titanium. If you get a scratch on the watch, you won't be able to have the finish buffed to remove the scratch.

I have no ability whatsoever to remove the link. I also don't appreciate you suggesting I'm being less than truthful. We are ALL users here on this user to user only forum. If a link gets removed, it would be by a forum moderator.

To my eyes, your watch looks EXACTLY like my watch. It's uniformly the same finish around the band and shouldn't be something you should be concerned with. But sure, it's up to you and if it bothers you, return the watch.

Lobster, I do appreciate your feedback. I got this watch because I have envision that Apple will try to make a watch which is more durable...and it came true.

While this is my first titanium Apple Watch, I do have some experiences with mechanical titanium watch, I agreed with your comment on titanium case (i.e. Grade 2 and Grade 5).

However, the GPS band is not made of titanium is located external of the case; there's no guarantee the GPS band will stay intact especially this is supposedly to be used as an extreme sport watch.

I will keep the watch in the spirit that Apple is a great company and hopefully will look into this for future design.
