Logic 10.4.5 - apple loops not adjusting to tempo automatically?

I don't think its pilot error as I have been a Logic user since 5!

My loops (Apple loops or indeed wav files) no longer sync in the apple loops browser or on import. They used to play back fine even wavs would just "lock" to the project tempo but all my files now have no tempo info it seems and not listed as a loop?

Is it the new "untagged loops" function that's causing this? (whenever they introduced that?) As I don't remember having this problem before.

Latest Mojave (10.14.5)
