Bluetooth headphones not listed in devices

Hi all, I have a Philips SHB5500 headphone I used with my iPhone 5c.

The headphone is not recognized by my iPhone SE nor my mid-2011 21.5 iMac though. I'm trying to find out if I can at least use it with my iMac. It is simply not displaying in the Device list when I open the Bluetooth configs.

This headphone uses Bluetooth 3.0 through a A2DP bluetooth profile (besides AVRCP, HFP, HSP). My iMac bluetooth has a 2.1+EDR technology, but I really cannot find any relation between all these technical aspects (e.g. is EDR compatible with A2DP profile, os is 2.1 compatible with 3.0, and so on).

After all, is my iMac supposed to see this headphone or not? Thanks to all

Well, what can I say... by simply following the instructions I could connect this time. I guess I was opening my bluetooth preferences AFTER turning on the bluetooth on the headphone, instead of doing the opposite way. Quite annoying to discover I wasted so much time deepening into bluetooth technical aspects.

At least now I know that A2DP profile and Bluetooth 3.0 ARE compatible with Bluetooth 2.1+EDR technology and my iMac ;)

Thanks BobHarris!
