top row buttons 1, 2, and 3 unresponsive on lock screen

Intermittently, the top row of the unlock screen keypad on my iPhone XS don't work at all. Happens about once a week at least.

buttons 1, 2, and 3 don't seem to register touch at all (tap, double tap, deep press, long press, nothing), while the rest of the keypad works.

canceling the keypad unlock, then calling up the keypad again fixes the problem and I can unlock my phone normally. The touchscreen on my phone always works otherwise, and my phone has never been dropped or damaged.

Anybody else have this problem?

Any chance Apple would care enough to fix this?

Well, if you're sure that nothing (case and/or screen protector) interferes with that screen area (should be this case, try to remove them), since your device is still covered by warranty, I would have it inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service provider: Apple – Location Selector
