iPhone is disabled

Hi everyone.

I had an iPhone 4S, which i did not use for a long time in last few years. Now that I want to use, the message appears, iPhone is Disable Connect to itunes. I did connect, but nothing has happened. probably the software update is running and once it is there, it may work. However, i think the iPhone could have been enabled by now.

i tried through Find my iphone but that also did not work as it cannot detect my iPhone.

Anybody who can give some useful tips to get my phone in working condition?

Thanks.
