The credit card I have listed on my payment methods got stolen and it wants me to verify the CVC but clearly I don’t have the card anymore. I want to add a new card but it won’t let me because I have to verify the old one in order to delete it and add a new one. How do I get around this to add a new payment method?

Try adding the new card and removing the old one via https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage
