Lost Activity Data

I upgraded to the XR, restored from my iCloud back up. Unpaired my Apple Watch from my old phone and repaired it to my new one. All of my activity data is gone. Over a year of info just gone. How can I get it back? I thought the whole idea of the cloud was to make sure you didn’t lose data and that it essentially made a duplicate of your phone and it’s contents. Any help on how to get this activity data back would be appreciated.

Back up your health information

Health information is stored in iCloud and gets encrypted as it goes between iCloud and your device, and while it's stored in iCloud. To enable storing your Health data in iCloud, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and turn On Health.

iCloud Backup doesn’t include information already stored in iCloud, like Contacts, Calendars, Bookmarks, Mail, Notes, Voice Memos, shared photos, iCloud Photos, Health data, call history, and files you store in iCloud Drive.

If you have used the same iCloud account the health data will get populated automatically.
