Notes app crashes when dragging to my second monitor

When I drag the macOS notes window from my laptop's screen to my second monitor the app quits every time just as it is crossing over. This behavior just started a few days ago. It doesn't seem like it's a popular bug. So far, I've found two (already closed) threads about similar behavior (also Notes and Adobe Acrobat).

I've tried to assign Notes to the second monitor but then it crashes on launch. The app works without any problems on my laptop's screen.

I don't think it's relevant since this didn't start happening right after an update, but I'm running Mojave 10.14.5.

Update:

I tried uninstalling all new apps that I've installed recently (Logitech Option and Magnet). This didn't really help -> Notes app was still crashing (I did restart the system after uninstalling both apps). Finally I started up in the safe mode. The issue was still happening there but then I resized the Notes window and for some reason that allowed me to drag the window to my second screen.

I don't have any idea what was the problem.
