News+ Family Sharing not Working on iPad

Hi all,


I’ve been a News+ subscriber for about a couple of months now. Love it so far, with one problem. Family sharing doesn’t seem to be working on my spouse’s iPad. I need help figuring out why and how to fix it.


What’s weird is that Family Sharing seems to be working just fine on both of her iPhone and iPad. However, the News+ subscription was shared with her iPhone only. When we open it on the iPad, it only offers a free trial. On her iPhone, we just received a notification saying it’s all good and didn’t need to do any extra work. I tried restarting the iPad, still no help. Apple Music got shared just fine.


What gives?

Uninstalling News app and then reinstalling helped trigger the “Family Sharing” event somehow. It works now.
