Mouse use fatigue

I use my right arm a lot with hours of mouse pad use. Do others in the community experience stress pain in the upper shoulder stress and deltoid muscles strain? Is there a more ergonomic way to avoid this mouse use issue?

It's from have to hold you hand up because you can't rest your hand's full weight on the mouse. Have you tried a trackpad:

Before that came out, I had good results with a large trackball:
