Antivirus on the mac are not only useless, they interfere with system security and hamper performance, especially when professional applications are involved, like FCP X.


Oh, and you should also uninstall Perian - this was great software, some years ago, that helped Quicktime deal with extra codecs, but it has been abandoned for years and now causes conflicts, particularly with stuff like avchd files, because it registers itself as handling some codecs, and it does not work correctly in Mojave (or High Sierra, and perhaps earlier).
