iPhone XR Glitch?

Yesterday my XS completely blacked out. I couldn't get it to power back on. I looked online and something suggested hitting the volume up button quickly, the volume down button quickly and then holding the power button until it powered back on. This worked, but now my phone will not charge when plugged in - it will only charge on a wireless station, which I do not have right now.

Is this something with the newest update, or do I need to take my phone into Apple to get repaired or replaced?

Since it's still covered by warranty, have it inspected at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider:
