Exclusive mode issues and limitations in VMWARE Horizon Client because of Mac OS X?

Hoping someone might be able to assist. I use VMWARE Horizon Client on my MacBook Pro to access a hosted virtual device running Windows for work. There's a really annoying thing that started happening where the MacOS Dock appears if my mouse pointer goes near the dock while in full screen mode in the VMWARE Horizon Client. I have to move the mouse away and then back in that part of the screen for the dock to go away.

According to the link below VMWARE says it's a bug in MacOS regarding "Exclusive Mode".

I have the latest version of Mojave and I'm running version 5.0 of VMWARE Horizon Client which is the latest version available.

Can anyone provide some info I can share with VMWARE if this is not a MacOS issue? Or, are there any tweaks I can make to my Dock settings so that it doesn't appear while in full screen mode?

It’s not a bug. That is the way it is supposed to work. The dock isn’t going to show if you get “anywhere near”. In full screen mode, you have to really push the pointer to the bottom to show the dock. Perhaps something about VMWare is causing that.

Thanks! I did a little more digging and found a help page that explains how to enable the exclusive mode. I've pasted it below. Apparently a certain key sequence is required to get VMWARE Horizon Client to display the menu item for selecting the Exclusive mode. It now works like it did before. The dock doesn't show up at all even when I move the mouse in that direction and leave it there. I'll need to use this keyboard sequence to lock and unlock. Anyway, hope this helps others that might have been wondering about this.
