I would like to have several imported photos to be on the same row. Not one in each row. How can I make them be all in one row?

What view are you using: Photos or Imports? Those "albums" are created by Photos and can have their sort or viewing order changed.
If you want 3 photos to appear together create a new album with just those three photos in it. Then you can manually arrange them however you'd like.
Imported photos are grouped by the Import session. If you want to see several photos together in one Import session, you have to import them all together. If you import the photo individually, they will all be shown as separate import sessions. To group them im Imports, you wld have to export them, then delete them from Photos, and reimport them together. That would be too much trouble, if you already have added metadata and adjustment, you would have to recreate them.

You have to use the slider to shrink the images.
