Icloud storage

so i pay 2.99 for 200 gb extra of storage and when i upgrade apple will minus the 299 i already pay from the 999?

If you upgrade from one paid plan to another, we’ll cancel your existing plan and charge you the prorated cost* of your new, larger plan.

* We'll charge you the cost of the higher-tier plan minus the prorated cost of your previous plan.
