How to recover sticky notes?

When I turn off my computer I never close any windows because when I turn it back on everything will be there. Not that I have over 20 stuff open at the same time, just up to 4 or 5 and one of them are my sticky notes.

Today when I turned it on my sticky note (I only had one) was gone, so when I clicked on the dock logo I only got a blank sticky note.

I already googled how to recover them but all I could find involved using Time Machine, but when I clicked on that it only showed me a timeline starting today, as if it had started keeping track of everything just after I opened it. I checked System Preferences and it just wasn't backing up anything :(

I know it was my mistake but is there anything that can be done?
